Scope of Announced Agreement
The project announced at the time involved seeking designation of approximately 132 square kilometers of land as a protected green area and pursuing carbon credits. Signing a contract must be distinguished from completion of carbon-credit certification and issuance.
Connecting Environmental Value and Tokenization
CEO Jang Jin-woo explained the conservation and restoration of the Amazon ecosystem as the background to the carbon emissions credit project. The company's direction to expand the connection between carbon assets and RWA was also presented.
Regional emissions prices and future values may vary depending on certification schemes and market conditions. The actual types of emission permits, certification standards, and issuance, ownership, and transfer rights are the criteria for reviewing individual projects.
